This is a revitalizing and pleasurable meditation. If the sensation in the buttocks stop, its important to bring back circulation and sensitivity by changing posture/standing up or simply squeezing and relaxing the surrounding muscles or practising Ashwini Mudra. This technique uses the constant and powerful force of the entire upper body weight towards transformation, while still being enjoyable and pleasurable meditation.
OSHO has remarked that in an office setting when we feel angry or upset against the boss but cannot retaliate for social safety and decorum, he recommends squeezing and releasing the calves discreetly without any visible movement through the clothes. The emotional energy in the mid body can then find an outlet, instead of through the hands and mouth (socially unacceptable), it can travel through the legs without anyone noticing. This method along with non-identification with arising and setting emotions, and non-identification with arising and setting identity, allows us to gather less dust from these encounters in the mirror of our consciousness. This author finds this technique useful for any overpowering emotions.
This author uses the same technique when experiencing stuckness in the chair meditation even during non-emotional times, by squeezing the releasing the lower back, buttocks, inner and outer thighs, knees, calves, ankes, feet and toes, to allow the energy to stream downwards through into the legs. The muscle/tendon/bone tightening followed by very long relaxation time, is repeated several times until destagnation is felt all over the body starting from the legs.
