The primer and orientation to OSHO Meditations has two aspects to it :
1. Meditation Information : The general information specific to OSHO Meditations, their underlying understanding and proper know-how as you unlock your body-mind powerfully. This is new terrain for meditators from other traditions as well, since the methods and unlocking keys and subsequent internal processes are more powerful and direct within just an hour, especially in Active meditations. This body of knowledge serves as the internal guidelines for personal assessments and success.
2. Issues : The topics specific to the issues of the incoming individual to overcome any disturbances / obstacles in their life. This will involve some reading and audio listening from OSHO on specific topics to seek finding balance inspite of contradictions and transcend opposing phenomena. This can be further facilitated by meeting sangha/spiritual friends who can resolve the beginners' incoming obstacles as they sort out their beginnings on finding the right insight and knowledge, to successfully move towards their joy and truth.

Often people suffer from attempting to go to the wrong destination(goals), en-route stops and reaching it in life. Wrong understanding of life that creates wrong goals and en-route planning, causes an immense amount of pain in many peoples lives. Even then the method to get there, the road vehicle, can be toxic internally or full of holes due to an untrained untamed mind. The Path of Meditation : A Step by Step Guide to MeditationThis book is OSHO personally guiding the beginners on setting up their life for success in sustaining meditations. These are a collection of talks overflowing with sweetness, tenderness and love from OSHO in a meditation camp that he personally facilitated inspiring us to succeed by proper reorientation of our life. It is a must-read for those who come hoping not just for meditation but transformation of their life, subsequent to their first OSHO Meditation. This is the book you are going to refer to create your checklists and daily/weekly journal logs in the beginning of transforming your daily life.

Finding your first meditation
We bring different levels of mental and emotional disharmony often in the form of blocks and unintended release and so we need different meditations to tackle it before finding our meditative state. Every potent and real meditation will bring up (surprise!) and release you from some of this mental/emotional confusions. The trick is to find a meditation that you can initially do that puts you in a place of quiet and calm at the end of your meditation, atleast temporarily, conquering the mental/emotional confusion that is churned and removed from you. So Active Meditations are the recommended start, since they often have a powerful healing/cathartic stage built in to the meditation. Within the Active Meditations there are energetically very mild ones, to very powerful healing meditation, that progressively can handle a range of intensity/volume in mental/emotional confusion within a few minutes. So while Nadabhrahma is a mild and extraordinary beautiful Active Meditation, it may not quench overwhelmingly surfacing mental/emotional churn and if so, then Kundalini or Dynamic Meditation (in increasing intensity) would be the right fit for you in the beginning though they require greater effort which brings the greater healing needed to move to tranquility. In some cases (more often seen in the West), an even stronger form of therapeutic healing might be needed in the form of Meditation Therapies, especially, when the participant is working with a well established healing crisis. So in the beginning, you will be embarking on your journey of finding which meditation conquers your emotions completely. And upon finding it, you have found a true friend in Meditation which will nurture your Atman and take you beyond your mental/emotional confusions to the grandeur of your pure inner essence - Sat-Chit-Anand state (Truth-Consciousness-QuietBliss). A note of caution to beginners : When great masters like OSHO give a perspective on an issue, a beginner will tend to look upon them as dogma whereas They look upon them as leela or play. When the master gives the opposite perspective on the same issues at another time, the beginners may feel inner conflict in reconciling the opposite perspectives due to our perception of issues as dogma and not leela. Beginners are also still developing viveka, harmonious discernment, as a mental faculty, that can see multiple perspectives harmonizing. Another variation of this difficulty may arise, when you hear a provocative perspective from the master, and are unable to see the harmony it has with its opposite perspective. In either of these cases, please feel free to reach out to an experienced Sangha member for quick clarity.
